8.1
Introduction
The Intel Core i5-600, Core i3-500 and Pentium CPUs with dual core support turbo
boost function. Intel Turbo Boost is a technology implemented by Intel in their Core i5
and Core i7 CPUs, which allows CPU performance to be dynamically increased on
demand.[1] It is activated when the operating system requests the highest perfor-
mance state of the processor. You need to install the Turbo Boost driver to enable the
function.

Installation
Note!
Before installing this driver, make sure the CSI utility has been installed
in your system. See Chapter 8 for information on installing the CSI util-
ity.
Insert the driver CD into your system's CD-ROM drive. You can see the driver folders
items. Navigate to the "Turbo Boost" folder and click "setup.exe" to complete the
installation of the drivers for Windows XP.
