Chapter 4: Defining server settings and tasks
Chapter 4: Defining server settings and tasks
You must be a RightFax administrator with full administrative access to
change RightFax settings on the Remote DocTransport Server. Use
the RightFax administration program to:
l
Change settings, such as the server's IP address, name, domain,
date and time, and firewall settings.
l
Apply a RightFax software update.
l
Restart or shut down the server.
l
Restore factory settings.
Getting started
To open Server Settings and Tasks
1. Sign in to RightFax on the Remote DocTransport Server. See
Signing in to the RightFax administration program
.
2. In the left pane, click
System
, and then expand
Server Settings
and Tasks
. The currently defined settings appear above the
options to change them.
Important
Inform other users before performing a task that
will alter, restart, or shut down the system. The color of the title
bar of each option window indicates if and how the associated
task will impact other users.
About yellow and red title bars
When you click any of the options under Server Settings and Tasks, the
title bar of the window that opens is color coded to show if changing the
option would impact other users:
l
A yellow title bar indicates that the server will become temporarily
unavailable.
l
A red title bar indicates that the server will become unavailable, will
have an irreversible change—such as a software update—applied,
or that required settings are missing.
