6.2- Calibration message
During the sensor calibration phase (Compass self-compensation), a
proprietary frame is sent to indicate the status of the autocompensation
procedure
$PADVH,138.2,0,13,*5F<CR><LF>
Magnetic cap / Autocompensation status (see table below) / Angular
sector / Checksum
At the end of the sensor calibration procedure, the owner frame
$PADVH is issued with the status at 1
$PADVH,,1,13,-3.25*4F<CR><LF>
Status of the self-compensation (see table below) / Angular sector /
Deflection measured on the angular sector / Checksum

Calibration in progress
Respect a constant speed of
gyration
1
Calibration successful
End of the procedure, you can
unconnected the wire
2
Calibration cancelled by the
user
The initialization wire has been
disconnected before the end of
the rotation
3
Rotation direction error
Turn on starboard
(clockwise)
4
Rotation too fast (or noisy
heading measurement)
Reduce your speed (or wait for
calm sea)
5
Excessive deviation (>20°)
Check the magnetic
environment around the
compass
The frame $PADVH ,, 1 is transmitted 36 times in order to broadcast
the 36 points of deviation measured during the self-compensation
procedure.
