Certification
The OMEGA XALPS 3 has EN and LTF certification . The categorization
applies to all OMEGA XALPS 3 sizes in accelerated as well as unacce-

The category granted at certification can only give a limited indicati-
on of a paraglider’s behaviour in thermal and turbulent air . The catego-
ry awarded is based on deliberately provoked extreme flight situations
in quiet air .
During development of an ADVANCE paraglider the priorities of the
work are mainly directed at flying qualities and handling – not exclusi-
vely on passing the certification tests . The result is a well-rounded pro-
duct with the familiar ADVANCE handling . But certification is an essen-
tial part of product specification, and has to be satisfactorily completed .
Folding lines
Special folding lines were fitted for the OMEGA XALPS 3 certification .
Without these lines side and front collapses cannot be simulated in ac-
cordance with the EN-D guidelines . Folding lines create an additional,
forward A-line level . At the canopy they attach behind the air intakes .
