operation or the ADTRAN Site Manager, refer to the
EASYMENU

User Manual, part number
61150.055L1-1 (found in the ACT 2300/1900 System
Manual, part number 2150.050-3), or the Site
Manager User Manual, part number 64150.075L1-1.
Connections
The ACT LIU occupies the common card position in
the ACT 2300 and ACT 1900 labeled LIU. The
connector pin assignments are detailed in Figure 3.
3. TESTING
Loopback Tests
The ACT LIU has two loopback modes: Local
loopback and Remote loopback. Either of the
loopback modes cause an interruption-of-service
alarm at the far-end terminal. Figure 4 shows
loopback points.
Local Loopback
Local loopback bridges the T1 line across the receiver
pair to the transmit pair, isolating the bank from the
T1 line. This allows internal bank testing, individual
card tests, and provides a baseline for line testing.
