WIRE TESTING PROCEDURE - 1 OF 1
Turn key to ON position.
Activate E-brake.
Set multimeter to DC volts. Connect RED test
probe to Voltage (+) input. Connect BLACK test
probe to Common (-) input.
Put BLACK test probe tip on GROUND (-).
See “Testing Reference”, identify the wire to
test under “Wire Description”.
See “Wire Chart”, identify the wire color
and location of the wire listed under “Wire
description”.
Locate potential wires that correspond to the
wire listed under “Wire Description” in terms
of wire color and location.
Test each wire individually
Put RED test probe tip on the wire to test.
See “Testing Reference”. Apply “Test 1
setting” and verify “Test 1 Reading”.
See “Testing Reference”. Apply “Test 2
setting” and verify “Test 2 Reading”.
If the multimeter reading DOES NOT match,
repeat steps 9 to 11 with another potential
wire to get a reading match.
Connect the wire listed under “Wire
Description” as shown in the “Wiring
Diagram”.
Repeat steps 5 to 12 with every wire listed
under “Wire Description” of the “Testing
Reference”.
Testing Procedure completed.
