5. Charging 

The off-board battery charger is a main part of the wheelchair. With it, the batteries of your 
wheelchair can be charged quickly and easily to make your wheelchair achieve its best. 

 

 

 

 

 

Charging the batteries using the off-board charger: 

o

 

Position your wheelchair close to a wall socket (AC 220 Volts). 

o

 

Make sure that the controller is turned off and the wheelchair is not in freewheel 
mode. 

o

 

Plug the 3-pin output connector of the charger into a 3-hole charger socket on 
the controller. 

o

 

Insert input-plug of the charger into the wall socket. 

o

 

Lighting of the red LED on the charger shows that charging is in process.  

o

 

The green LED on the charger lights when the batteries are fully charged. 

o

 

8 to 14 hours are suggested per charge. 

o

 

When charged, unplug the input-plug of the charger from the wall socket and 
then the output-connector from the socket on the controller. Place the charger 
with cables and plugs together into the bag on the rear of the seatback  

 

6. Overload Protector 

When motors overload, the overload protector will shut down the power to protect the 
motors and their electronics. Once the protector is activated, recovery operations are as 
follows: 

1) Wait for a minute or 2 minutes to let motors and the electronics cool down. 
2) Press the reset button on the wheelchair to make the wheelchair recover normally.

charger supplies by ADP Wheelchairs. Never use any automotive-
type battery charger.
