Fibre Channel Firmware Installation
This chapter provides information about installing and configuring
the Fibre Channel (FC) firmware.
The ADLINK AMC FC host adapters are preloaded with firmware
that presents a multiprotocol service layer based on the LSI
Fusion-MPT architecture. The FC firmware provides FCP (SCSI-3
over FC) Initiator, FCP Target, and LAN interface services to the
host system.
ADLINK qualifies all firmware prior to shipping. When updates are
necessary, ADLINK releases new firmware to improve the func-
tionality or performance of these host adapters. To inquire about
firmware updates, contact ADLINK at sup[email protected].
4.1

This section includes the features, description, installation, and
configuration of the FC firmware. The installation method varies
depending on the operating system. ADLINK provides firmware
installation tools for the Windows, Linux, and Solaris operating
systems.
Features
