DMX ADDRESSING
All 昀椀xtures should be given a DMX starting address when using a DMX controller, so the correct 昀椀xture
responds to the correct control signal. This digital starting address is the channel number from which
the 昀椀xture starts to “listen” to the digital control signal sent out from the DMX controller. The assignment
of this starting DMX address is achieved by setting the correct DMX address on the digital control
display on the 昀椀xture.
You can set the same starting address for all 昀椀xtures or a group of 昀椀xtures, or set di昀昀erent addresses
for each individual 昀椀xture. Setting all 昀椀xtures to the same DMX address will cause all 昀椀xtures to react
in the same way, in other words, changing the settings of one channel will a昀昀ect all the 昀椀xtures
simultaneously.
If you set each 昀椀xture to a di昀昀erent DMX address, each unit will start to “listen” to the channel number
you have set, based on the quantity of DMX channels of each 昀椀xture. That means changing the settings
of one channel will only a昀昀ect the selected 昀椀xture.
In the case of the MOD HEX100, when in 12 Channel you should set the starting DMX address of the
昀椀rst unit to 1, the second unit to 13 (12 + 1), the third unit to 25 (13 + 12), and so on. (See chart below
for more details.)
