Operating Modes:
You can use the Mega Bar 50RGB RC in either a stand alone mode or a primary/secondary configu-
ration. There are 7 modes to choose from:
• Manual Color Mode - Select one of 32 different colors to remain static.
• Color Change Mode - In this mode, the unit will change through the different colors. The rate of
speed is adjustable.
• Color Fade Mode - In this mode, the unit will fade in and out through the different colors. The
fade speed is adjustable.
• Auto Mode - In this mode, the unit will change through the color change and color fade.
• Sound-Active mode - The unit will react to sound, chasing through the built in programs.
• RGB Manual Control mode - Manually adjust the intensity of each of the three individual colors in
order to create a custom color.
• DMX control mode - This function will allow you to control each individual fixture’s traits with a
standard DMX 512 controller.
Primary-Secondary Operation:
This function will allows you to link units together to run in a Primary/Secondary mode, in which one
unit will act as the controlling unit and the others will react to the controlling unit’s built-in programs.
Any unit can act as a Primary or as a Secondary, but only one unit in a given system on linked units
can be programmed to act as the Primary.
Primary-Secondary Connections and Settings:
1. Daisy chain your units via the XLR connectors on the rear panels of the units. Use standard XLR
microphone cables to link your units together. Remember that the Male XLR connector is the
input and the female XLR connector is the output. The first unit in the chain (primary) will use the
female XLR connector only, and the last unit in the chain will use the male XLR connector only.
Note: These units are capable of being daisy chained together via the power input/output
ports, but this can only be done with a maximum of 44 fixtures. Once this number of units
is reached, a new power outlet will need to be used to accommodate additional fixtures. All
fixtures must be of the same make and model type. DO NOT MIX FIXTURES!
2. Link the power input/output terminals of the units together in the same way that the XLR termi-
nals were linked.
3. On the Primary unit, choose your desired mode or program, then connect the Secondary unit(s).
4. On the Secondary unit(s), press the MODE button until “Secd” is displayed. They will now follow
the Primary unit.
Static Color Mode:
In this mode you can choose a desired color to remain static.
1. Plug the fixture in and press the MODE button until “CO.XX” is displayed. “XX” is a number from
0-32.
2. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust “X” between 0-32.
