Connecting the controller to a PC
The controller comes with a USB-interface as standard, which allows you to connect it to your PC,
however programming and configuring the controller via this interface is not yet possible.
This is why you need an additional board in order to program and configure the controller
A connection to the PC has the following advantages:

The controller can be comfortably
programmed and configured
via a PC.

The visualisation program
aditec VisuNet allows you to connect
the controllers to a
superordinate surveillance system. This enables you to monitor and log temperature and
humidity profiles of processes ensuring comprehensive quality control of the treated products
in your plant (in compliance with ISO 9000).

11.1 Connection cables, different types of connection
11.1.1 Connection via an Ethernet interface:

In order to connect the controller to a PC via an Ethernet interface you will
need:
•
an Ethernet cable (RJ45)
•
a ZSL board
(additional board Ethernet, see
11.1.2 Connection via a RS485 interface:

In order to connect the controller to a PC via a RS485 interface you will need:
•
a 3--core shielded cable
•
a USB to RS485 converter
(e.g. US-4561)
•
a ZS4 board
(additional board RS485, see Figure 15: ZS4-)
