LCD Messages

The following table describes the messages displayed on the LCD immediately after power-up:

Drive State

LCD Message

At power-up.

Will be displayed for 3 to 5 seconds, followed by:

If the self-test fails.

Self-test passed, firmware sign-on
message.

The drive is ready to have a tape
loaded.

When loading a tape.

The arrows will scroll left to right indicating
movement.

When unloading a tape.

The arrows will scroll right to left indicating
movement.
