Condenser and Radiator
Check the engine radiator and the air conditioner condenser (in
fro n t of the radiator) fo r accumulated dirt, insects or leaves.
Carefully brush or hose them o ff to assure maximum cooling
performance.
C A U TIO N : Radiator, and condenser fins are very thin and easily
damaged; do not bend them with the hose or brush.
Compressor Drive Belt
Check the compressor belt tension monthly, during periods when
you use the air conditioner a lot. When properly tensioned, the
belt should have 7 to 9 mm (0.3 to 0.4 in) "p la y " or deflection
when pushed with 98 N (22 lb) of force midway between the
compressor pulley and the engine crankshaft pulley. Have the belt
adjusted whenever necessary.
