A1.8 Specification for water to be treated
BravaDOS has been designed for the treatment of drinking water in compliance with Directive
98/83/EC and following modifications. If the water to be treated is not potable please contact
Acqua Brevetti SRL. The dosing of AcquaSIL 20/40
®
in water increases its content of phosphorus.
The P
2
O
5
concentration in water treated by BravaDOS is lower than 5 mg/l. This value refers to
water having a upstream of BravaDOS a concentration of P
2
O
5
< 0.05 mg/l.
BravaDOS cannot be used to treat water containing chemicals of any kind (e.g. acids, bases,
solvents, detergents, antifreezes, glycols, etc.).
Warning!
Please be sure that hydraulic system (piping and equipment) be hygienically
safe and does not present any risks of bcaterial growth (f.e. dead branches,
accumulations,
…
).

A2 INSTRUCTIONS FOR PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
A2.1 Periodic maintenance
Warning!
Before carrying out any intervention on the pump other than refill operation,
place the pump in by-pass position.
Warning!
If maintenance requires disassembly of the equipment, parts which come in
contact with drinking water must be handled with care from hygienic point to avoid
contamination of the hydraulic system. Use suitable disposable gloves. Any tools used
must be cleaned and disinfected before use
Periodically check the following issues:
AcquaSIL 20/40
®
level
Check periodically for the level of residual AcquaSIL 20/40
®
in the storage tank. BravaDOS is
equipped with an electronic system for the automatic detection of the liquid level which
automatically emits an alarm signal when the minimum liquid level is attained.
BravaDOS working
For the proper working of BravaDOS make sure that the product is dosed and consumed regularly.
The level in the storage tank should decrease proportionally with water treated.
BravaDOS refill
Perform periodically the refilling of AcquaSIL 20/40
®
. Follow the following instructions:
BravaDOS code PM010: unscrew the storage tank and fill it with AcquaSIL 20/40
®
up to the
maximum level indication.
BravaDOS code PM012, PM014, PM016: unscrew the small green cap located in the upper part of
the storage tank and insert the filling funnel; slowly pour AcquaSIL 20/40
®
from the bottle to the
storage tank; fill with AcquaSIL 20/40
®
up to the maximum level indication.
A2.2 Inactivity
After inactivity open a tap for at least 3-4 minutes to flush all the piping system. This precautionary
operation should always be performed after inactivity of water distribution systems independently
of the presence of water treatment devices.
The term inactivity indicates the absence of withdrawal from any tap (e.g. during holiday).
If the plumbing system is subject to a cleaning and sanitizing intervention, PuliFIL shall also be
included in the intervention plan.
The sanitizing intervention is part of the extraordinary maintenance interventions that
have to be carried out exclusively by qualified personnel. In case of need, kindly contact
an Acqua Brevetti Technical Service Centers (TSC).
