ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION MANUAL
B1 INSTALLATION
B1.1 Before installation
The following instructions ensure your safety. Please read them completely and carefully before
installation and keep them for future reference.
Attention!
Before installing BravoFIL PLUS, check that the system delivers drinking water
in compliance with the local regulations.
BravoFIL PLUS is not equipped, as standard, with anti-flooding devices or devices designed to
check, control and alarm in the event of uncontrolled water leaks. If necessary, provide an adequate
anti-flooding device separately.
In older buildings, check if the metal water pipe is used for grounding purposes for the electrical
system (the presence of a bridge connection on the water meter is a clear sign of this circumstance).
Check for other grounding before opening the pipe.
To avoid external contamination, always keep the filter in its original closed box and only remove it
immediately before installation.
During transport and storage, the equipment must not be exposed to temperatures below 5°C and
above 40°C.
Attention!
The Manufacturer declines all responsibility for damage to property or people
resulting from incorrect installation of the equipment and/or installation in a system that does
not comply with the laws in force and in the event that the prescriptions of this manual are
not respected.
B1.2 Installation requirements
The installation of the filter introduces a change to the drinking water system; therefore, it must only
be performed by a qualified professional in accordance with the local regulations. In particular:
x
The equipment must be installed in a hygienically suitable, dry, well ventilated, clean place,
indoors, away from: frost, humidity and atmospheric agents (rain, snow, hail), direct exposure
to sunlight and sources of heat (i.e., washing machines, boilers, hot water pipes).
x
The installation must provide for the presence of water withdrawal points upstream and
downstream of the equipment.
x
The plumbing systems manufactured for the installation of equipment connected to the
aqueduct network must be equipped with a system capable of ensuring the non-return of the
treated water in the network, and with a system of manual or automatic by-pass valves, which
allows the supply of untreated water, thus interrupting the supply of the treated one.
x
Check that the pressure and temperature of the supply water fall within the technical data of
the equipment. The pressure must be at least 1.5 bars.
The limit values of the environmental parameters allowed for the installation of the filter are: ambient
temperature (min/max.) 5-40°C.
Install BravoFIL PLUS in the cold-water pipe downstream of the water meter and upstream of the
distribution lines or equipment to be protected.
Attention
! Make sure that the hydraulic system is hygienically safe and does not present
any risk of bacterial proliferation (i.e., dead branches, sources of bacterial proliferation, etc.).
