Chapter 3

Removing the Keyboard and LCD Module

1.

Release the four keyboard lock as shown.

2.

Turn over the keyboard as the image shows. Then disconnect the keyboard cable from the main board.

3.

Remove the keyboard from the main unit.

4.

Turn the notebook over.

5.

Remove the four screws securing the middle cover. Two from the bottom, and two from the rear side.

 

6.

Use a flat screwdriver to lever the middle cover up.

7.

Detach the middle cover from the front side as shown.

8.

Disconnect the power board FFC cable and remove the middle cover.
