Create with Passphrase
– Security keys for WEP encryption are generated from a
passphrase string, so you must use the same passphrase on all the other stations in
your network.
Manual Entry
– Manual Entry allows you to manually enter key elements.
Default Key ID
– Choose the Key ID that has the encryption string you prefer. If you
are using a key generated from a passphrase, you must use the same passphrase
and key on each station.
To use the WEP function, complete the following steps:
1.
Select “128-bit” or “64-bit” in the “Encryption” field.
2.
Check “Create with Passphrase,” type a string in the Passphrase field, and click
Generate
.
3.
Select the key, and click
Apply
.
Note:
A Passphrase string can consist of up to 32 alphanumeric characters.

Check “Manual Entry” and enter text into one of the key fields. Keys may be
entered as regular text or be in hexadecimal numerals (0~9, A~F).
