The 144 card is an I/O mapped device that can be easily configured from any language. 

Developing Your Own Software 

 

Four register locations are required per 24-bit group. Thus, a total of 24 register 
locations are used by the PCIe-DIO-144 card for addressing groups 0 through 5.
