NetReach User Guide
Extending an Ethernet Network
The NetReach can also be used to extend a wired Ethernet network. To accomplish this, setup
the NetReach as you normally would to be a wireless access point. Place the NetReach in your
desired location and plug your remote Ethernet cable into the WAN port on the back of the unit.
Any devices connected to this port will now have network connectivity.
To extend the network into a remote location you can use the WDS feature of the NetReach.
Set up a WDS configuration as previously described. Then move the remote NetReach to the
location you wish to provide Wi-Fi coverage and Ethernet extension to. You can now connect
any Ethernet connected device to either the WAN or LAN port. This gives you the ability to
provide wired connectivity where there currently is no Ethernet access.
