Piston Adjustment: Fill Volume, Fill Speed, and Charge Speed
a)
The quantity of product being filled is determined by the stroke of the piston. To
increase or decrease the fill volume, turn the hand wheel (PI3100-01-059), which
raises or lowers the proximity sensor. Once the proximity sensor is set in the desired
position, it will detect the platen on the end of the piston carriage to stop the fill and
initiate the charge cycle. The hand wheel has a volume counter which allows the
operator to set a reference point for each fill volume.
b)
For increased accuracy when dialing in the fill volume, turn the adjustment screws at
the lower end of the pistons (See Figure 27). It is recommended that all of these
