FAQ
Sounds
New treadmills will give a thumping sound when the connection part on the belt pass over
the rollers, this decreases over time, but may not necessarily disappear. After time, the belt
will become softer and stretched and run quiet over the rollers.
Noise from the product will always be higher in a home than in a showroom due to; room
size, background noise and flooring. A rubber base mat will reduce reverberation in the floor.
Greater distances from walls and other hard surfaces will also reduce noise. As long as the
treadmill does not make unusual sounds, it is considered normal.
During use, the treadmill is exposed to excessive vibration. It is therefore important that the
bolts, screws and nuts are tightened according to the maintenance schedule. As described in
this manual in order to prevent the treadmill from producing a lot of noise during use and to
avoid unnecessary wear and tear
Static electricity
Static electricity may come for many different reasons.
The treadmill should be connected to grounded contact, when grounded, it will create a path
with little resistance to electricity so that it reduces the possibility of shock. Treadmills are
exposed to static electricity especially in the winter months where there is dry air. If the deck
under the treadmill becomes dry, it may also be a cause.
Different causes that can lead to static electricity:
Dry air
User is dehydrated
Dry running deck (need lubrication)
Worn out running shoes
Dust
Non grounded contact
Clothes of wool and synthetic fabric
Users sett of running
Some fabric softener
Worn motor brushes
Worn running belt
Use rubber mat.
