Disconnect the TIG welding torch from the power supply.
Fault Cause Solution
No welding arc • Power supply to the work-
piece or torch interrupted
• Fault with power supply or
control line
• Control line interrupted
• Contactor not activated in the
power supply
• Close the power circuit
• Repair
• Replace
• See operating instructions for the power supply
Torch body or
power supply
overheated • Inadequate flow of coolant
• Welding current too high
• Coolant hose or liquid-cooled
power cable constricted or
closed
• Tungsten electrode loose
• Check that the re-circulating cooling unit is
working and performing correctly
• Reduce
• Check the flow and replace if necessary
• Tighten by means of torch cap

Troubleshooting
DANGER
Risk of injury due to unexpected start-up.
For the entire duration of maintenance, servicing, mounting, dismounting
and repair work, the following instructions must be adhered to:
• Switch off the power supply and cut off the gas supply.
• Switch off the entire welding system.
• Pull the mains plug.
NOTICE
• Disassembly may only be carried out by qualified personnel (in
Germany see TRBS 1203).
• As the TIG welding torch is integrated into a welding system, the
operating instructions of the welding components, such as welding torch
and welding power supply, must be observed during operation.
