Some problems are listed below, with descriptions of possible causes
and solutions. If the measures described below are not successful,
please consult your dealer or the manufacturer.
Please also consult the operating instructions for the cutting components, e.g.
power supply, air pressure supply, etc.
The plasma cutting torch is mainly made of plastics, stainless steel and non-fer-
rous metal and must be disposed of in accordance with local environmental
regulations.
In the event of an emergency, the power supply must be switched off immediately.
For further action in such circumstances, consult the "power supply” operating
instructions.

Problem
Insufficient penetration air
pressure supply.
Cutting arc interrupted.
Excess dross formation.
Cutting nozzle burnt out.
Excessive electrode use.
Possible cause
– Pressure drop during cutting due to incorrectly
set pressure switch/monitor.
– Cutting rate too high.
– Inclination angle of torch too high.
– Material thickness too high.
– Equipment parts worn or damaged.
– Incorrect output set.
– Cutting rate too lowt.
– Torch stand-off too high.
– Material thickness to high.
– Output too low.
– Cutting rate too low or too high.
– Equipment parts worn or damaged.
– Incorrect output.
– Damaged or loose nozzle.
– Contact with part.
– Start of cut at edge of workpiece too fast.
– Too much spatter when punching hole.
– Pilot arc struck too long and too frequently in
the air.
– Pilot arc too strong (caused by power source).
– Pressure drop while cutting due to incorrectly
adjusted pressure switch/monitor.
– Loose electrode.
– Pilot arc struck too long and too frequently in
the air.
