9 Maintenance and cleaning
Despite the above, scheduled maintenance and cleaning are prerequisites for a long service life and fault-
free operation.
Check the following:
9.1 Cleaning the automatic filter, solar cells, sensors and helmet shell
NOTICE
• Maintenance and cleaning work may only be carried out by qualified personnel (in Germany, see
TRBS 1203).
Daily
Clean the
ADF 600S
daily, as well as whenever it is to be worn by a different user and whenever it is
soiled.

Automatic filter

Wipe off the surface with a soft cloth. Do not use any strong
solvents.

Wipe off the solar cells / sensors with methylated spirits and a
clean cloth. Then wipe off with a dry, lint-free cloth.
Helmet shell

Use a soft cloth and soapy water to wipe down and disinfect
the helmet shell.
As needed/in case of
damage (broken,
scratched, dirty, etc.)
Replace outside viewing pane
