Never touch the metal parts of your kettle when hot, always use the handle when
using it. Close supervision is necessary when in use near children. This appli-
ance must only be used by or under the supervision of a responsible adult.
Never immerse any part of the kettle (including power cord) in water.
Ensure the lid is closed when boiling your kettle to prevent water splashing out
and causing injury.
Ensure the kettle is never on or near a hot surface.
Ensure the kettle and base are on a firm, level surface and cannot fall into water.
If the base or connector become wet, disconnect from the power supply and dry
the base and surface underneath with a dry cloth or tea towel before resuming
normal use.
Do not use outdoors.
This appliance is intended only for household use and is not suitable for any use
other than intended.
Repairs to this appliance should only be carried out by a qualified expert.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its ser-
vice agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Before First Use
Read all instructions carefully before use.
Before using your kettle ensure the voltage of your electricity supply is the same
as stated on the rating plate on your kettle.
Before normal use of your kettle, fill with water to the Max. mark on the water
gauge and boil. Leave to cool then rinse thoroughly with cold water to ensure the
kettle is completely clean.
