General Information
Calibrator
The requirements for using Calibrator in the Enter Factor method are similar to the
Auto-Cal method. Refer to
Calibrator Requirements
under
Calibration Materials
earlier in this section.
Fresh Whole Blood
In addition to the requirements listed in
Fresh Whole Blood Requirements
under
Calibration Materials
earlier in this section, the following procedures apply when
using the Enter Factor method:
1. A minimum of five samples are required for adequate calibration.
2. Mean values should be calculated for each parameter based on 10 runs (five
samples, each run twice into one QC file). These mean parameter values can
then be entered as reference values on the CELL-DYN 3200 System.
ICSH Recommendations
When using fresh whole blood samples, reference values should be determined
according to the following ICSH recommendations.
