The event register can be read by L-command
only once. Should a fault occur e.g. in the data
transfer, the contents of the event register may
be re-read using the B-command. When re-
quired, the B-command can be repeated. Gen-
erally, the control data communicator SACO
100M reads the event data and forwards them to
the output device continuously. Under normal
conditions the event register of the module is
empty. The data communicator also resets ab-
normal status data, so this data is normally a
zero.
The setting values S1...S14 are the setting values
used by the protection functions. All the settings
can be read or written. A condition for writing
is that remote set password has been opened.
When changing settings, the relay unit will
check that the variable values are within the
ranges specified in the technical data of the
module. If a value beyond the limits is given to
the unit, either manually or by remote setting,
the unit will not perform the store operation but
will keep the previous setting.
