Note- For cable size above 300 sq. mm, special cable lug supplied by the factory
must be used.
WARNING: Proper tightening torque of 50 N-m should be given to ensure good
connection/contact of cable lug to bushing copper face.

The manufacturer’s installation instructions must be
followed. Be sure to clean then lubricate the bushings
thoroughly with the silicone supplied. Use only isolated
cable connections.
Where cables are not connected, the earthing switch
must be locked in closed position or the bushings must
be fitted with dead end receptacles before the unit is put
into operation.
Option 2:
Screened separable connectors are premoulded and
manufactured in rubber with three layers, a conductive inner
layer, an insulation layer and a conductive outer layer, that
are vulcanized together for the best possible interface
between the layers. The cable connectors include both a
capacitive test point with protection and an integrated
earthing wire. Delivered in 3-phase kits, complete with cable
lugs, bolt connection and stress grading adapter, designed
to ensure a reliable installation.
Screened/touchproof separable connectors for cable size
upto 300 sq. mm (400Sq.mm contact ABB) can be used in
SafeRing XT. Available options/Types
SafeRing XT/SafePlus XT can be supplied with the bushings as shown below :
Following pictures shows the tightening torque and fasteners to be used for the
bushing terminations. Cable size of maximum 400 sq. mm can be used.
