Change of position of the
vertical/horizontal terminals
If the circuit-breaker is supplied equipped with terminals of the horizontal/vertical rear type, it is possible at
any time to switch from horizontal to vertical and vice versa, except for E4.2 UL 3200A versions. (see Figure
65 IEC and Figure 66 IEC). Lock the screws with the following tightening torques:
• E2.2 - M6 screws - Tightening torque 8.6 Nm - 70.8 lb.in
• E4.2 and E6.2 - M8 screws - Tightening torque 20 Nm - 177 lb.in

Phase separators
Phase separators are available on request. Alternatively, it is possible to position the insulation barriers to
segregate live parts. In addition, the phase separators are mandatory:
• If, between two phases, the minimum distance between the screws that fix the circuit-breaker terminals
to the connection bars is less than 14 mm - 0.55".
• For circuit breakers version >690V.
Information on the assembly is available on the website http://www.abb.com/abblibrary/DownloadCenter/, in
particular with the kit sheet
.
Connection to the power circuit
The connection of a circuit-breaker to the power circuit is performed using the connection busbars of the
electric switchgear fixed to the terminals of the circuit-breaker. The sizing of the busbars is specified by the
designer of the electrical switchgear.
