If the top plate has to be modified for the incoming
conduit, remove the lifting angle and top plate to perform
the modifications. Do not drill or cut the top plate while
still attached to the section. This prevents metal chips
from falling into the section, which can cause serious
damage to the equipment.
Lug assemblies
E2.2 breaker connection table
After modification, replace the top plate and lifting angle
bolts to guard against dust or dirt from entering from the
top. The lifting angle bolts can also be removed and the holes
plugged. See Crane Handling in this manual.
Optional bottom plates can be removed for modification. For
approximate section base dimensions and ground bus
locations, refer to the elevation and floor plan drawings
shipped with the switchgear.
