S2 trip unit functional test

Prior to operate and / or carry out any replacements on the CB, this must be open, with discharged spring and
disconnected

Remove the Trip unit ( DUT ) from the CB following the instructions in the installation manual of the CB n°
600600.002.

Take note of the settings present on the trip unit ( DUT ); these settings must be reset after the test.

Do not disconnect the trip coil from the Trip Unit ( DUT ).

Set the current and time values for the protection available on the DUT.

Connect the extension cable to TS3.
7
Connect the S2 test cable to the extension cable.

Connect the S2 test cable the DUT.

If it is present G module, before testing L,S,I protection, remove G module and insert the bypass module

In order to set parameters and perform the test, follow the instructions in chapters

Verify that the tripping time indicated in the TS3 display is corresponding to the expected one, as indicated in the
technical catalogue n° 6000-3-84.

In case of changing of settings , insert the beginning value of threshold and time.

Reinsert the G module if has been substituted by the bypass module.

Reinstall the trip unit ( DUT ) on the CB as indicated in the instruction manual of the CB n° 600600.002
