Removing and cleaning the filter silencer
If provided
u
Remove filter ring (81265).
u
Rinse the filter ring (81265) using water with detergent additive or, if
it is heavily contaminated, soak and carefully push through. Rinse in
cold water. Avoid high mechanical stress (do not use a water jet).
NOTICE
The amount of filter ring (81265) contamination depends on the cleanli-
ness of the air that is drawn in. Clean filter ring after every 500 hours of
service or more frequently if necessary.
u
Loosen the tension bands (81270) at the locks (81271) and remove
them along with the cover grids (81266) and connecting strips
(81268).
u
Pull out insert units (E), bend open sheet-metal coverings (81137),
then take out absorption segments (81136).
u
Clean the absorption segments (81136).
During cleaning, ensure that the absorption segments (81136) are
only cleaned with a mild jet of compressed air, soft brush or a damp
cloth. Otherwise there is a risk of damage or deformation.
NOTICE
Replace heavily contaminated absorption segments, filter ring and
damaged connecting strips with original parts from ABB Turbo Sys-
tems.
Fitting the filter silencer
u
Assemble the insert units (E) by inserting the absorption seg-
ments (81136) into the sheet-metal coverings (81137).
u
Bend the sheet-metal coverings back into the original shape.
u
Insert the insert units (E) into the slot guides in the filter silencer body
(81135).
u
Fit cover grids (81266) and connecting strips (81268) on the filter si-
lencer body (81135).
u
Run tension bands (81270) through the eyelets of the connecting
strips.
u
Tighten all tension bands at locks (81271).
If provided
u
Fit filter ring (81265).
