The IP20 degree of protection (EN 60529) of the device is intended for a
clean and dry environment.

Do not subject the device to any load that exceeds the prescribed limits.

Only passive antennas may be installed on the devices.

Power supply of the device must comply with the suitable requirements:

Class 2 circuit according to National Electrical Code, NFPA-70 and Canadian Electrical
Code, Part 1, C22.1

Limited Power Supply (LPS) according to EN/IEC 60950-1 or EN/IEC 62368-1

Limited-energy circuit according to EN/IEC 61010-1
Connect a regulated power source to the transceiver. The supply voltage can range from 10.8
to 30 VDC with a nominal voltage of either 12 VDC or 24 VDC is recommended. The power
supply must be able to supply 130 mA of current at 24 VDC.

5.2.2
Ethernet connections
Connect a CAT5 Ethernet cable between the port on the AWIN GW120 and the network
adapter card on your computer. Use either a crossover (C/O) or 1:1 cable as the radio has au-
tocross functionality. The cable should not exceed 100 m (329 ft.) in length. Alternatively, an
Ethernet switch can be used for connection.

Antenna connections
There is one antenna connector on the AWIN GW120 (see
). A single antenna is used
for the WirelessHART mesh network.
Observe the maximum RF power allowed in your country. Only use antennas
and cables recommended by ABB.
