5 Maintenance
Cleaning the SmartCap

Remove the sensor from the process.
Referring to Figure 3:

Unscrew the shroud

from the sensor body

Rinse SmartCap

with clean water from a spray bottle.

Gently wipe SmartCap
C
with a soft-bristled brush or, if
biofouling is present, a soft cloth.
If necessary, use a grease remover to remove grease.

Refit shroud

by screwing it onto the sensor body

Cleaning the lens

Isolate the transmitter and remove the sensor from the
process.

Unscrew the shroud

Grip the SmartCap

between your thumb and forefinger
and carefully slide it off the sensor

NOTICE
• Do not touch the end of the SmartCap

• Do not allow moisture or atmospheric humidity inside
SmartCap

• Do not wet the lens area

with water or any solution.
Use only the supplied lens cloth for cleaning.

Gently wipe the lens

Refit the shroud
