Actual signal
Type of
that is the result of a measurement or calculation by the drive, or
contains status information. Most actual signals are read-only, but some (especially
counter-type actual signals) can be reset.
Bit pointer
setting
A parameter setting that points to the value of a bit in another parameter (usually an actual
signal), or that can be fixed to 0 (FALSE) or 1 (TRUE).
When adjusting a bit pointer setting on the optional control panel, “Const” is selected in
order to fix the value to 0 (displayed as “C.False”) or 1 (“C.True”). “Pointer” is selected to
define a source from another parameter.
A pointer value is given in the format
P.xx.yy.zz
, where
xx
= parameter group,
yy
=
parameter index,
zz
= bit number.
Pointing to a non existing bit will be interpreted as 0 (FALSE).
In addition to the “Const” and “Pointer” selections, bit pointer settings may also have other
pre-selected settings.

FbEq16
(In the following table, shown on the same row as the parameter range, or for each
selection)
16-bit fieldbus equivalent: The scaling between the value shown on the panel and the
integer used in communication when a 16-bit value is selected for transmission to an
external system.
A dash (-) indicates that the parameter is not accessible in 16-bit format.
Other
The value is taken from another parameter.
Choosing “Other” displays a parameter list in which the user can specify the source
parameter.
Note:
The source parameter must be a 32-bit real (floating point) number. To use a 16-bit
integer (for example, received from an external device in data sets) as the source, use
data storage parameters

Other [bit]
The value is taken from a specific bit in another parameter.
Choosing “Other” displays a parameter list in which the user can specify the source
parameter and bit.
