RS485 Support (SW2-SW12) 

These switches are used when running a port in RS485 signaling mode. When 
running RS485 (half duplex), the three switches associated with the port should be 

Closed

. In all other signaling modes, the switches should be 

Open

 (see table below 

for port/switch position assignments). 

  NOTE 

The use of RS485 requires use of the correct software interface. Consult the driver manual for the operating 

system used for details. 

As shipped from factory, all switches are in the Open state.
