10 Fault conditions and troubleshooting
WARNING - To prevent hazardous situations, do not use the c-max U1 if it shows any abnormal
behaviour.
Switch on the c-max U1.
The LEDs are flashing.

Switch off the c-max U1.
9.7 Disposal
Your c-max U1 and its batteries are durable products. After expiry of the natural service life, you can
return these components to AAT Alber Antriebstechnik GmbH or their specialist dealers for disposal.
The c-max U1 and its batteries must not be disposed of in places that are
not designated for this purpose according to the current legislation in force
in the respective country (e.g. landfills). It may contain substances that
could prove harmful to the environment.
A product marked with the crossed dustbin must not be disposed of with
household waste (WEEE Directive). Find out about the legal regulations
applicable in your country, as the WEEE Directive does not apply in all
European countries.
9.8 Long-term storage
If the c-max U1 is not used for a longer period of time (e.g. several months), observe the following in-
structions:
» No moisture shall reach the inner parts of the device.
» Store the c-max U1 in a dry place with low relative humidity. If necessary, protect with foils.
» Protect against permanent exposure to sunlight!
» Unauthorised persons, especially children, should not have unsupervised access to the storage location
of the c-max U1!
» Remove the battery pack before storage - For storage of the battery pack, it is essential to observe chap-
ter 9.1.
If the c-max U1 is to be put back into operation, clean it first
(refer to chapter 9.3). Check whether a techni-
cal safety test should be carried out (if necessary, refer to chapter 9.5).
If no technical safety test is necessary, it is mandatory to test the electrical function and the safety brakes
prior to start-up!
