To manage a large network of RFP offers, an SNMP agent is provided for each RFP.
The SNMP agent responds to SNMPv1, and SNMPv2c reads requests for the standard
MIB-II objects.
The agent supports both SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c alerts ('coldStart' , 'nsNotifyShutdown' ,
'authenticationFailure’ and 'nsNotifyRestart').
Decoding SNMP messages with your network management system or MIB browser
always requires the publicly available IETF MIB definitions (see reference documents at
the beginning of the document), which can be downloaded

6.2.4.1.3 DHCP
OFFER
The DHCP client selects the DHCP server according to the following rules:
One of the
public options
(
code 224
up to
code 254
) has a value equal to the
‘
OpenMobility
’ string. It is advisable to use
public
option 224
for this, because the
DHCP client in the application checks for this option.
Or
the
file
field in the DHCP message has a sub string equal to ‘ip_rfp.cnt’
If none of the two rules above match the DHCP, the offer is ignored.
Information retrieved from the DHCP offer:
The IP address to use is taken from the
yiaddr
field in the DHCP message.
The IP netmask is taken from the
subnet mask option (code 1)
