different. Also the way of inserting the probe affects readings.
Use the same ear when measuring temperature.

temperature?
A. Some people may have different ear and axillary
temperatures. The ear has its normal temperature.
Measure temperature using the ear and axillary thermometers when
you are healthy and know your normal ear and axillary temperatures.
Q. Can I use this thermometer to measure an animal’s
temperature?
