5-3. Measuring The Density Of A Solid
The density of a solid is obtained by averaging
the measured values.
1. Start the measurement when water temperature
becomes stable.
2. Press the RE-ZERO key to set the displayed
value to zero.
3. Place the sample on the upper pan in air and
record the value A.
4. Press the RE-ZERO key to set the displayed
value to zero.
5. Place the sample on the lower pan in liquid and
record the value B.
Keep the depth of approximately 10 mm
under liquid surface.
6. Obtain the density of water according to the
temperature. (Refer to
Table 1
)
