Serial P ort / COM 1 (CN18)
The Gene-6310 offers two serial ports, one RS-232 and one RS-232/
422/485. These ports allow you to connect them to serial devices
(mouse, printers, etc.).

IrDA C onnector (CN19)
The IrDA connector (CN19) can be configured to support wireless
infrared module
. W ith this module and application s such as laplink
or Win95/98 Direct Cable connection, user can transfer files to or
from laptops, notebooks, PDA, and printers that also equip IrDa
function. This connector supports HPSIR (115.2Kbps, 2 meters),
ASK-IR (56Kbps), and Fast IR (4Mbps, 2 meters).
Install infrared module onto IrDA connector and enable infrared
function from BIOS setup
; moreover, make sure to have correct
orientation when you plug onto IrDA connector (CN19).
