Memory Bank Selection (M1)
The M1 jumper allows the user to select SIMM 1, SIMM 2, or
DIMM 1 as Bank 0. Since the SiS 5598 chipset uses shared main
memory as video RAM, Bank 0 of memory will be separated into
two partitions, one for system memory and the other for video
memory.
Therefore, if SIMM 1 and SIMM 2 are set as Bank 0, you should
install the DRAM module into SIMM 1 or SIMM 2. If DIMM is set
as Bank 0, you should install the SDRAM module into DIMM1.
Otherwise, the system will not operate properly.
