3.6 Integrated Peripherals
OnChip IDE Device
OnChip Primary/
Secondary PCI IDE
[Default: Enabled] The integrated peripheral controller contains an IDE
interface with support for two IDE channels. Select
Enabled to activate each channel separately.
IDE Primary / Secondary
Master / Slave PIO
[Default: Auto] The four IDE PIO (Programmable Input/Output) fields let
you set a PIO mode (0-1) for each of the two IDE devices
and the two storage devices that the onboard IDE
interface supports. Modes 0 through 4 provide
successively increased performance. In Auto mode, the
system automatically determines the best mode for each
device.
IDE Primary / Secondary
Master / Slave UDMA
[Default: Auto] Ultra DMA33 implementation is possible only if your IDE
hard drive supports it and the operating environment
includes a DMA driver. If both your hard drive and IDE
cable support Ultra DMA 33 select Auto to enable BIOS
support.
IDD HDD Block Mode
[Default: Enabled] When enable this feature, the BIOS will automatically
detect if your hard disk supports block transfers and set
the proper block transfer settings for it.
OnChip Serial ATA
[Default: Disabled] Disabled: Disable this function.
Auto: BIOS will auto detect. (Default value)
Combined: Set On-Chip SATA mode to Combined, you
can use up to 4 HDDs on the motherboard; 2 for SATA
and the other for PATA IDE.
Enhanced: Set On-Chip SATA mode to Enhanced, the
motherboard allows up to 6 HDDs to use.
SATA Only: Set On-Chip SATA to SATA only.
SATA mode
[Default: IDE] Set up SATA Hard Drive to IDE or RAID mode
