Basic Information
Battery chargers model HFK are designed for single phase 230V for batteries from 12 to 96V with current from 25 to
85Amps, while HFT chargers for three phase 400V for batteries from 24 up to 96V with current from 25 to 120Amps.
Putting together 2 chargers we can reach up to180A. Working frequency can be either 50 or 60Hz.
There are many kind of charging curve for Pb, Gel and AGM battery (WUIU, IUIa, IU0U and so on).
Each curve profile is set with the default factory parameters but the software allows to change the value of these
parameters by entering into a specific mode. A desulphation curve is provided for the nominal battery.
Software release currently available is 5.10 F.
Power-on, end of the charge and power-off
POWER-ON
: Charger turns on connecting AC Main. Connecting the battery the charger starts automatically the cycle.
END OF CHARGE
: When the Display shows
End
and green LED is ON the charge is over.
If a floating charge is set the display shows a letter after End: (ex:
End5
pulse floating)
POWER-OFF and BATTERY DISCONNECTION
:
Charger switches off pressing F button for 2 times (call and confirmation) or unplugging AC Main.
Battery must be disconnected after the operation described above in order to avoid electric arcs.
Charger requires normally about 10-20 sec before shutting off completely.
WARNING:
before connecting another battery wait for an acoustic sound (2 sec.) and wait for the display shows
Bat
After stopping, a charge cannot be restored. Battery must be disconnected. The charge starts from the beginning.
Display and LED information
Scrolling parameters using << and >> buttons the display shows many useful technical information such as voltage,
current, battery capacity, number of performed cycles etc. At start up, the display shows MAIN parameter (called
navigator), able to provide general information on charger status (for example charger stage or reason of a stop).
The following are just a piece of information. For having the complete number please ask for the technical manual.
(*) navigator – the display shows one of the following information depending on what is the charger doing
