When located near the door in zone
D
, nearest door is automatically unlocked - the user needs to push the switch
next to the door to open it.
When leaving your vehicle while carrying a key fob, all doors automatically lock upon egressing zone
C
.
When the driver with the key fob is located in zone
E
, it is allowed to drive the vehicle.
1.2 Key fob operation
The key fob is in operational range when it
is able to connect to the vehicle. This range is dependent on several
factors, but it is typically more than 10m.
Once within operational range, the key fob operates as follows:
Press once to lock all doors.
Press twice to unlock all doors.
Once the key fob is in closer proximity to the vehicle, hands free operation of the key fob is enabled - the vehicle will
automatically unlock the nearest door or allow drive when inside the cabin.
1.3 NFC function
Use the key fob as an NFC access token to access the vehicle, even if the battery is empty.
To do that, tap the key fob onto the reader located next to the driver's door.
1.4 Key fob troubleshooting
If the key fob does not respond when pressed:
Try operating the key fob closer to your vehicle. Try taking the key fob out of the pocket/lifting it to the
chest level.
Other radio equipment operating on a similar frequency may interfere with the signals from your key
fob.
The key fob battery may need to be replaced. See
Replacing the Key Fob Battery.
If you are still unable to unlock your vehicle with the key fob, Contact an Arrival Authorised Repairer if the problem
persists.
