1. Getting started
(General information of product introduction)
WNAP4G router have below settings as factory defaults:
WAN settings = DHCP client / Failover enabled
Operation mode = Gateway
IP-address = 192.168.1.254
DHCP server = Enabled
WLAN SSID = WNAP4G_xxxxxx
(xxxxxx=last six from LAN MAC address)
Encryption = Enabled (WPA2 Mixed)
WLAN password = Check the ”WLAN key” from product sticker
Management Password = admin
WNAP4G is as ”
Gateway
” mode in defaults, when WAN port get IP address
from operator and all LAN ports as well as WLAN are behind of NAT firewall
in own local network. If 3G/4G USB modem is connected to the USB port, the
Internet connection will be working through 3G/4G USB modem, and if
Internet connection is not available through WAN port. PC will get IP
addresses automatically from router. On

you can find instructions to
configure your PC IP addresses for Internet connection.
Wireless network
If you will be using wireless network, you can connect to the router pre-
encrypted wireless network with WLAN key password found from router
sticker. The wireless network name (SSID) is different on every router and it
can be found from product sticker as well.
First you PC network settings must be configured as
step 2
instructed. After
that you can connect your PC either with Network cable or with wireless
network. On
Step 3
is general instructions how to connect Windows7 / Vista /
XP to the encrypted wireless network. In provided CD you can find more
instructions to wireless network configurations.
3G/4G USB modem
Insert your 3G/4G USB modem to your router USB port and 3G/4G USB
modem will be found automatically and it will be working as failover for
WAN connection if connection through WAN port does not work. In provided
CD you can find more instructions for 3G/4G modem connections.
NOTE!
Before connect your 3G/4G USB modem, disable the PIN code from
your SIM card. We recommend to verify, if your 3G/4G modem is supported
by this router from
http://www.a-link.com/fi/wnap4g
. If your 3G/4G modem
does not found from supported list, contact to the technical support
Reset to factory defaults:
You can reset to factory defaults by press the Reset button
about 10 seconds on front panel of device when power on.

icon and press right hand
button on mouse. Choose
Properties
3. Choose
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
-> Press

Obtain an IP address automatically
5. When all necessary settings have been made, press
OK.
6. In properties of Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), press
OK.
7. Press
OK
in Network settings.

8. Make sure that, no
Proxy
settings is enabled in Internet Explorer settings
9. Now your workstation is ready for Internet
