LITESYNC MANUAL
VER. 2 REV. 0
Special case -48V
There are facilities that require -48V power over the network, this option is perfectly feasible with LiteSync. We simply have
to connect the -48V to the input
5
and then choose the correct GigaKey in order to get -48V on the PoE ports based on the input
pin out of the devices we want to connect.
Protection
LiteSync detects the applied load value in real time. In the event of a sudden overload or short circuit, the protection intervenes
and interrupts the supply of the output voltage for 10 seconds. At the end of the period of inactivity, the voltage is supplied
again. During the period of suspension due to overload, the LED of the corresponding port flashes red.
On each port there are double phase surge arresters TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) and GDT (Gas Discharge Tube).
Synchronization pulse
LiteSync offers the possibility to inject, through the same PoE port, the synchronization pulses compatible with the proprietary
Cambium Sync method that allows you to work with Gigabit Ethernet (1000BaseT). This means that the injector will allow
you to take advantage of the synchronization
6
of network devices compatible with the method mentioned above.
GigaKey
This is the generic name which identify the selection keys of the output pinout of each PoE port.
The GigaKey has been designed to avoid handling with the microswitches or jumpers that normally perform this function, but
are subject to errors. This simplifies selection, executable simply by inserting the chosen key into the slot corresponding to
the PoE port.
If desired, you can select a different GigaKey for each PoE port on the same cartridge.
At the moment, 4 different GigaKey have been developed that allow a wide range of compatibility between devices on the
market. They are easy to identify by their code and different colors.
