READ FIRST

 SAFETY INFORMATION

•  Your adapter is not a toy. Keep it away from children. Make sure that all

persons who operate your adapter read and follow this guide.

•  Using your adapter with non-approved accessories may result in serious fatal

injury and/or property damage.

•  Never attempt to use your adapter to power any devices that require more

than the output power of this adapter (for example, the voltage setting

matches, but your laptop requires more amperage).

•  Your adapter is suitable for use only with laptop computers. Do not use your

adapter with other electronic devices. It may result in serious injury and/or

property damage.

•  For energy saving and safety, disconnect the input power to your adapter

when it is not in use.

•  Your adapter may become hot during operation. Ensure to provide ventilation

and refrain from placing items on or around your adapter during operation.

Maintain at least 5cm around the top and sides of your adapter. Never

operate your adapter inside a closed or confined space such as a glove

compartment, console or airline seat pocket.

•  When operating your adapter, regularly check that all connections are firmly

connected. Loose connections can generate harmful heat that can damage

your adapter or attached laptop computer.

•  Do not operate your adapter near a heat source, heat vent, or in direct

sunlight. Your adapter should be used in temperatures between 0-40°C.

•  Before use, make sure that your laptop’s input voltage is compatible with the

input voltage of this adapter.

•  Keep your adapter dry. Direct contact of your adapter to moisture may lead to

electrical shock, causing serious fatal injury and/or property damage. Consult

a qualified technician for a complete safety evaluation before resuming use of

your adapter when it has come into direct contact with moisture.

•  Inspect your adapter and cables for damage and wear before use. Do not use

or attempt to repair your adapter and/or cables. Consult a qualified technician

for a complete safety evaluation if in doubt.

1.

Confirm the brand, voltage and output wattage of your
laptop. You can sometimes find this information on the
bottom or back of you laptop. The voltage of your laptop
MUST be between 18-20V, and the output wattage is less
than 65W.

2.  Find the tip (

4

) that should be used for the brand of

your laptop by checking the Compatibility Table
(following page).

3.  Connect the correct tip (

4

) to the adapter DC cable

connector (

a

). Ensure the tip (

4

) is pushed all the way

onto the DC cable connector (

a

). Ensure the tip is not

loose and is fitted correctly (do not force the tip). Using
an incorrect tip for your laptop computer may damage
your computer or cause it to malfunction.

4.  Connect the mains cable (

3

) to the power adapter

socket (

b

) first, then connect it to a wall power outlet.

5.  Connect the DC cable (

2

) fitted with the correct tip (

4

to the power socket on your laptop. Do not use excessive
force to insert the tip into your laptop computer. If your
laptop does not start to charge you may have selected
the wrong tip. Please check Compatibility Table for
correct tip.

Please note: If your laptop is completely discharged,
allow at least 5 minutes for the laptop to charge before use.
