5.1 NOISE LEVEL

The noise level in an environment with several pumps can be very high. The following security 

measures should be applied on the basis of the sound pressure level: 

- less than 70 dB (A): no protection is necessary.

- greater than 70 dB (A) : people who stay in the room must protect their ears

- greater than 85 dB (A) : environment with a dangerous level of noise level. Every door must 

have a warning signal inviting people not to enter without ear protection.

Sound pressure level detected as being less than 85 dB (A) according to the processing point in 

accordance with ISO 3746.
