Replacing Lamp
•
To reduce the risk associated with hazardous voltage, which if not avoided
could result in death or serious injury:
-
Switch power “OFF” and disconnect the plug from electrical outlet before
attempting any cleaning, lamp replacement, or other maintenance of this unit.
Grasp plug and pull to disconnect.
•
To reduce the risk associated with the hot surface temperatures produced by
the projection lamp, which if not avoided may result in death or serious injury:
-
Never touch the projection lamp or surrounding surfaces while the lamp is still hot.

Switch unit “OFF”, remove the power cord from the electrical outlet, and allow the
unit to cool for at least 45 minutes before replacing the lamp.

To reduce the risk associated with explosion associated with a pressurized
lamp when hot, which if not avoided could result in death or serious injury:
-
Do not improperly handle, scratch, strike, or drop the lamp at any time.

CAUTION

To reduce the risk associated with the sharp metal fittings or broken glass
inside the lamp compartment, which if not avoided may result in minor or
moderate injury:
-
Do not insert hand into the lamp compartment when the lamp has been removed.

Use extreme care when removing lamp glass that has failed and shattered into
sharp pieces.

Note
For maximum lamp life, do not strike or drop, improperly handle, or scratch the lamp glass.
Also, do not install an old or previously used lamp.

Remove lamp access door:
The lamp access door is located on the bottom of the machine. Use a
screwdriver to unscrew the cover retaining screw (1) and gently remove the cover (2) and set it
aside.

Retaining screws:
Use a screwdriver to unscrew the lamp module retaining screws. (3)

Note
All lamp module screws must be loosened. These screws are self-containing screws that
cannot be removed from the lamp module or access door.
